Our Staff
Gloria Chesney
Certified Public Accountant
Gloria has her Master’s degree in accounting and over two decades of experience working with small to large businesses in various industries. When she is not poring over financial statements or preparing tax returns, she is busy golfing or boating, and is an avid football fan and rarely misses watching games.
Vanessa Ortiz
Vanessa Ortiz joined the team in 2022 after graduating with an associate degree in accounting. Vanessa started as an administrative Assistant, but quickly worked her way up to becoming our payroll specialist and staff accountant. She is currently working on her bachelor’s degree in accounting, so she can be a more valuable asset to our company and specially our clients.
Vanessa lives in the small city of Delavan with her husband and four children. In her free time, she enjoys attending her kids’ sporting events, musicals, and band concerts. Vanessa also enjoys cooking, reading, and taking long walks with her German Shepherd, Mila.
Brenda Chilvers
Brenda Chilvers joined our team in 2022. She has an extensive background in tax, small business startup, and accounting. She obtained her Masters’ degree majoring in business management, accounting, and taxation. She has 30 years of experience in the accounting industry and 20 years in taxation. She has worked her way up from clerical positions which gives her a unique perspective for small businesses in knowing how they operate at every level. She likes to connect with her clients on a personal level to help them navigate through the world of taxes and offers tax savings.
When Brenda is not working, she enjoys time with her husband of 28 years, 7 grandchildren and her 2 puppies: Max and Buddy. Brenda enjoys her time alone by self-pampering and going antique shopping with her friends. While she is with her family, they enjoy going to national tractor pulls, Rock River Thresheree, car shows, and making memories.
Crystal Alvarez
Crystal Alvarez is a staff accountant and currently holds an associate degree in business. She joined our team in 2021 as a payroll specialist and advanced to staff accountant and tax preparer. Her background includes working in small businesses to working in a corporate office. With 8 years of accounting experience and 7 years of tax experience, she seeks to meet customer expectations.
While Crystal isn’t working, she enjoys traveling around the world, exploring new restaurants with friends, attending festivals and sport events, and going on hikes and walks with her boyfriend and Golden Retriever, Benji.
